The Basic Adult Course is for any adult (English or foreign-speaking) who has little if any current driving experience. The course consists of both classroom and behind the wheel (BTW) in-car training. The classroom’s purpose is to educate in regard to traffic laws, defensive driving strategies, and the responsibilities associated with owning and operating a vehicle. The purpose of the in-car lessons is to acquire a degree of skill and competence that allows you to meet your driving needs for transportation and pleasure with confidence in your new abilities.
Upon successful completion of the Basic Adult Course (displaying knowledge of traffic laws and acceptable behind-the-wheel skills) you shall receive a Course Completion Certificate (insurance reductions) and a Kansas Division of Vehicles Certificate of Completion to present to the Kansas Driver’s License Examination Station (licensure).
Basic Adult Course Cost
$55 - Enrollment (due when enrolling)
$75 - Classroom – 9 Hours (three sessions - $25 each session)
$228 In-Car – 6 Hours (six lessons - $38 each lesson)
$358 Total (any additional in-car lessons requested are provided at the same $38 hourly rate)
Upon enrollment, we will secure for you a Kansas Driver Education Permit as part of our services, unless you already have a current Learner’s Permit. All in-car lessons are given in late model, automatic, air-conditioned, dual controlled, fully insured and state approved vehicles. For your in-car lessons, we pick you up at home or work and return you to the destination of your choice within Wichita. All in-car lessons are one-on-one, unless you want a companion or translator.

Arrive at our office any Monday evening between 6:00 p.m. – 6:15 p.m. or call 316-683-1818 for an appointment. If you enroll on Monday evening, you can also attend your first class session from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. that evening.
Individual lessons in-car for specific skills such as parallel parking, highway usage, night driving, clutch and other skills are available at $45 per hour lesson.
Driver Improvement Programs for experienced drivers and qualifying for insurance discounts are also available at $70 for an eight-hour program. Group rates are available for six or more.
