Behind The Wheel Defensive Driving School is locally owned and operated by Kurt L. Winterhalter. Kurt has more than 10 years of instructing experience, working with both teens and adults.
Behind The Wheel Defensive Driving School is licensed by the State of Kansas. Instructors are experienced and certified by the State of Kansas. We use fully insured late model cars with automatic transmissions, seat belts and dual braking systems.
At all times in the car, you are under the one-on-one guidance of a Driver Training Professional.
Tips for Students:
- Relax prior to lessons.
- Wear comfortable clothing. No loose shoes or sandals.
- Have any eyewear necessary with you.
- Ask any questions, and for clarity from your instructor.
- Use your lesson time to the fullest. Tell your instructor your driving needs.
For example: to and from school; places you anticipate driving to; regular visits; streets and roads you will use. - Between lessons, practice safe things that the instructor has recommended.
